FAQ’s

  • Wear comfortable activewear that allows for easy movement. For Reformer classes, grip socks are recommended. For Yin Yoga, bringing socks and warm layers will help you stay cozy during relaxation.

  • While the studio provides mats for both Yoga and Pilates classes, you're welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you prefer practicing on it.

  • Yoga: If you're new to yoga, we recommend starting with a Yoga Stretch or Yin Yoga class. Not sure which class suits you best? Feel free to reach out for personalised advice.

    Mat Pilates: Beginners should start with a Pilates Beginners class to learn foundational exercises. Your instructor will guide you on when to progress to a General class.

    Reformer Pilates: All newcomers should begin with a Reformer Beginners class to understand the equipment and basic movements. Your instructor will help you advance to General classes as you gain confidence.

  • Yes, booking is required. You can easily book through our website by clicking the ‘Book Now’ button on the Home Page or Timetable Page. For convenience, consider downloading the Acuity Scheduling Client App. You'll need to enter our business URL: oneyogapilates-booking.as.me.   • If you have an injury or are feeling unwell, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before attending class. Please inform your instructor about any injuries so they can modify exercises to suit your needs.

  • Yes, many yoga and Pilates classes can be beneficial during pregnancy. However, it’s important to consult your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise regimen. We ask, please advise your instructor know about your pregnancy so they can provide appropriate modifications.

  • Class lengths vary: most Yoga and Reformer Pilates classes are 55 minutes, while Early Morning Pilates classes are 45 minutes and Lunchtime Yoga classes are 40 minutes.

  • Yes, you can cancel your booking through our scheduling app or website. Please check our cancellation policy for any specific time frames or fees.

  • The number of classes per week can vary based on your personal goals and schedule. Generally, we recommend starting with 2-3 classes per week to establish a consistent practice and then adjusting based on how you fee.

  • We understand the struggle of learning a new system of how to book classes or purchase packs so we have created a simple step by step guide to help you through this process. First things first we say please make sure you log in or create an account before doing anything more to begin with. You can find out how to book throughout scheduling app and website here.

  • For Pilates Mat, Reformer, and Yoga classes, we ask that you cancel at least 12 hours in advance if possible to allow others to fill the spot.

  • Our Pilates Mat and Yoga classes accommodate up to 14 participants in both Hastings and Haumoana locations, while Reformer classes have a maximum of 4 participants.

  • The Haumoana studio offers Pilates Mat and Yin Yoga classes. Please note, Reformer classes are not available at this location.

  • Classes in Haumoana are located at St Francis Church on Beach Rd - get directions here.

  • Refunds depend on the timing of the cancellation and our cancellation policy. Please review our policy for specific details or contact us with any questions.
