ANN MICHELLE

Yoga and Pilates Teacher, Owner

Feeling strong, agile, and comfortable in her body is what drives Ann to practice and teach Yoga and Pilates.

"I discovered yoga in my twenties when my body felt tight and bound from sports, running, and the emotional storage of life. Later, after having children, Pilates became essential in rebuilding my core strength. Both yoga and Pilates have given me freedom, strength, and flexibility, and I'm grateful for the transformation they've brought into my life."

Ann’s journey with yoga spans over 25 years, both practicing and teaching Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga. Her Pilates practice began 10 years ago, as her focus shifted to core stability and functional movement. Before fully dedicating herself to teaching, she worked professionally as a pharmacist.

Ann has studied with exceptional teachers like Mira Mehta, John Scott, Peter Sanson, and trained in Mysore, India, at the Ashtanga Yoga Institute with Patthabi Jois. Her Yin Yoga training includes guidance from Markus Henning Giess, Karin Sang, and Jo Phee. She is also a Polestar-qualified Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor, grounding her Pilates instruction in precision and awareness.

Ann’s approach goes beyond simply guiding yoga poses or Pilates exercises. “For me, teaching is about helping students connect deeply with their bodies. I aim to cultivate awareness in each class, so students can carry that knowledge with them, integrating it into their daily lives.”

ANGELA McENTEE

Yoga Teacher

Angela completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India, in 2016, specialising in Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles. Initially drawn to the physical aspects of yoga, she soon discovered its profound impact on her mental and spiritual well-being, motivating her to share these benefits through teaching.

With a passion for various yoga styles, Angela recently completed her 100-hour Yin Yoga certification in June 2021, enriching her teaching approach. She now offers a balanced mix of Vinyasa and Yin classes, fostering a nurturing environment for her students.

Angela teaches Yoga Flow once a month on Saturdays and is excited to guide both new and returning practitioners on their yoga journeys.

JESS LOCKWOOD

Pilates Mat Teacher

As an early childhood teacher, Jess naturally brings her passion for education into the Pilates studio. After years of being guided by local instructors, she fell in love with Pilates, which inspired her to become an instructor herself. Jess completed her mat training through Polestar Pilates in 2021 and successfully passed her exam in 2023.

Her enthusiasm for mat Pilates shines through in her teaching, as she loves empowering clients to discover their bodies' capabilities. Jess is dedicated to equipping her students with the skills to integrate Pilates into their everyday lives, both in and out of the studio.

Teaching every Tuesday evening, Jess creates an inspiring and energetic atmosphere in her classes that you won't want to miss.
