One yoga pilates studio hastings
Ann, my beautiful yoga teacher, inside and out...inspirational in all she does from teaching yoga to ensuring everyone in her class feels special. It’s because of her that I look forward to making yoga part of my life.

Class Design

Pilates Beginners – focusing on stabilising the pelvis, developing deeper abdominal strength and mastering the basic Pilates exercises

Pilates General – a step up from beginners. Adding on extensions and challenging stabilisation, deeper abdominal control and general overall strength. Adding further exercises to the repertoire.

Pilates Intermediate – here to challenge all the building blocks you’ve laid down. Faster flow, more of the difficult exercises and extensions of the previous exercises. A good workout you hopefully feel for days!!!

Yoga flow– a flow sequence of yoga postures integrated with breath and pranayama breathing practices. Sequences are layered so varying degrees of capability can join the class. Do postures at the level that work for you.

Yoga Stretch- a little more gentle than a Yoga flow class with more stretching and sequencing of postures and less vinyasa. Stretching and breathing at a slower pace

Yin yoga – stretching, releasing and opening the Myofascial tissue connecting the whole body; joints, ligaments and tendons. Stretches held for 3 to 6 mins giving time for the connective tissue to relax and open. Relaxing, de-stressing, opening, blissful.

FAQ

What do I bring to class?

Wear active wear that you can comfortably move in. Grip socks for reformer. Socks and warm layers for Yin Yoga so you stay warm and comfortable as you relax into the postures.

Do I need a mat?

The Studio provides mats for both Yoga and Pilates. Bring your own yoga mat to class if you have one and like to practice on it.

Which class do I begin in if I’m new?

Yoga

If you’ve never done yoga before begin in a Yoga Stretch class or Yin Class. If you’re not sure which would suit you best feel free to contact me for more advice.

Pilates Mat

If you’ve never done Pilates before begin in a Beginners class to get a basic understanding of the practice. Your instructor will guide you when to move up to a General class.

Reformer

All newbies need to start in a Beginners class to understand how the Reformer works and get familiar with the basic exercises. Your instructor will guide you when to move up to a general class.

Do I Need To Book In?

Yes you do. You can book in via the Website https://www.oneyogapilates.co.nz. There is a ‘Book Now’ button on the Home Page and the Timetable Page. If you have trouble booking please contact me.

You can also download the Acuity Scheduling Client App on your phone which I recommend using and is the easiest to use when booking.

It will ask you for the business URL which is oneyogapilates-booking.as.me (https://oneyogapilates-booking.as.me)

Choose your class/package, pay and then book your class. The scheduler will keep track of your classes as you use them.
